2570 Moore Road

We recently decided to put our house on the market. Good decision? Bad decision? We don't really know...we're just going to see what happens I suppose.

The main reason. We honestly just feel like we need more room. I certainly didn't realize having a baby triples the amount of "junk" one acquires.

Another reason. Micah is working from home a lot since he took a new job in January so he really would like space for a personal office. Right now his "office" is located in our guest bedroom.

Below is the house info/details and some pictures (sorry they are so small). I posted the link for the MLS listing above. If you know anyone who is looking for a "starter home" this is the perfect house! We have LOVED living right in the heart of Germantown. Contact Erica or Micah if interested. Thanks!

step by step

Beloved lyrics from the talented NKOTB? Yes, but not so much in this case.

Step by step Hudson is getting closer to walking. Yesterday, May 12th he took his first steps on his own and I attempted to capture the moment on camera. See below. I admit, I didn't do so hot but we did manage to get it on video. Go buddy go!

He didn't go far but at least he tried:)

loves to hold the remote

Next Year...

...I'll be teaching part time at Central's PDO program

Tough Decision? Um, Y to the E to the S.

Those of you who know me well know I LOVE teaching at GES. I mean, come on. GES is the BEST! They didn't just make that up you know?

I will forever be grateful for the 2 years I spent at Germantown Elementary. I was one of those rare people that actually liked their job. I enjoyed getting up and coming to work (most days!).

Much of that is thanks to the kids. Oh how I loved my kids! I know I was probably bias but I really felt that each year I had "the best class" and the best parents on top of that.

Much of that is also thanks to a great administration and staff. And I loved my 2nd grade team of course. We always had so much fun...they are all so dear to me, such great teachers and friends. Everyone welcomed me with open arms from Day One. It was truly amazing the friendships and relationships I made while I was there. And even as I came forward with my decision to leave GES and teach part time everyone has been incredibly supportive and encouraging. Thank you:) I love my GES family and feel blessed to have been a part of such a great school.

Showing some GES love

We always had volunteers to come read to our class:)
(Excuse the pregnant belly)

Sweet GES friends threw me a baby shower!

My sweet Emma and Hudson

So it's on to a new chapter. I'll be teaching 2-3 days a week starting next school year for our church's Parents Day Out (PDO) program. And *BONUS* Hudson gets to go with me for F-R-E-E! He of course will be in the one year old room - which is just a hop, skip, and a jump from where I'll be. I'm extremely excited for this new opportunity and thankful I get to teach at my church home and in a Christian environment. Praying God will use me in a mighty way while I'm there.

AND THEN THERE WERE NONE

None of these that is...

Praise the good Lord! Hudson is officially done done done with bottles. By far one of the toughest things I've ever done. Well, to be completely honest the little guy took very well to the big change. I mean, tears were definitely shed on his part. But I think I was a bigger wreck than he was. Just ask Micah!

At my pediatrician's recommendation I went ahead and did the whole cold turkey weening thing at 12 months. Dr. Mitchell seemed to think this would also help with Hudson's picky eating tendencies. Her theory is the less milk intake, the more likely he'll be to eat solids b/c he'll be hungrier. Makes sense to me. Praying she is right:)

So long to these days...

As of May 2nd we traded in the Dr. Brown's for these Nuby No Spill Sippy Cups

This guys seems pretty happy about things despite the fact his world was turned upside down.
Hudson boy, we love you so much and are extremely thankful you adapt so well to change.
